Dao Tea is an online artisan tea shop based in Richmond, BC, Canada. We offer a selection of sublime tea, handcrafted in the mountains of Asia by farmers and master artisans that we personally know.

Dao Tea founder Pedro Villalon lived with his family for two years in China. His passion for backpacking, sustainable farming, tea and Asian culture took him to remote villages in China and South Korea in search of sublime, handcrafted tea. As he met tea farmers and master artisans, Pedro found more than just a delightful drink; he found kind, hospitable people who treasure the Earth and craft tea with love, following traditions that are centuries old. He was very fortunate to join the 2009 harvest and make great friends over mountain-cooked meals, a few bowls of home-made rice wine and some of the freshest most fragrant tea on Earth.

We are now proud to offer the crafts of seven tea masters and support their life-styles.

For five of them, this is the first time that their art is shared beyond their native countries; may it delight your senses.
